A word from Dr. Keith Ungar

“I have been in practice for 41 years, I have always strived to be at the forefront of new technologies to enhance patient care. With a background in treating professional and Olympic athletes, I have consistently sought out innovative solutions to help patients and athletes alike return to their optimal performance levels quickly and without relying on drugs or surgery.

One such cutting-edge technology that I have integrated into my practice is the RST-SANEXAS neoGEN® system. After extensive research, I decided to invest in this remarkable machine,  The results from using the neoGEN® system on various conditions have been nothing short of phenomenal.

The positive outcomes observed in diabetic and chemotherapy-related neuropathy patients suffering from chronic or long-term intractable pain and muscle weakness were so impressive that I currently have 2 machines. The difference this technology has made in my patients’ lives is truly remarkable. It’s a powerful tool that has significantly enhanced my ability to provide effective, drug-free treatments.

My dedication to exploring and embracing advanced medical devices like the neoGEN® system underscores their commitment to delivering the best possible care. My patient’s results stand as a testament to the profound impact that innovative technology can have on patient outcomes. “

From Patient Success to Clinical Insights: Treating Drop Foot with EcST

Patient Testimonial

“My name is Allan and I am a professional caddy on the Champions Tour. At the end of Dec. 2019, I developed drop foot. It was bad enough I could not entertain the idea of going back to work. As luck would have it, Dr. Ungar obtained the RST-SANEXAS neoGEN® machine in the middle of Jan 2020. Before I completed my 24-treatment program, I went back to work. If not for Dr. Ungar and the neoGEN® device, this would not have happened! I highly recommend this treatment program.”    – Allan

Understanding the Condition, Electrode Placement, and Treatment Considerations

Drop foot is a condition that causes difficulty lifting the front part of the foot due to weakened or paralyzed dorsiflexor muscles. It can result from nerve damage (such as from injury, diabetes, or neuropathy), muscle disorders (like muscular dystrophy), stroke, or spinal cord injury.

Electric Cell Signaling Therapy (EcST) offers a non-invasive approach to stimulating affected muscles and nerves involved in dorsiflexion. By targeting the tibialis anterior muscle or the peroneal nerve, EcST helps activate muscle function, improve coordination, and support gait mechanics. This method not only assists in enhancing mobility and walking ability but also plays a role in helping prevent muscle atrophy, making it a valuable option for managing drop foot and improving overall quality of life.

BASIC PACEMENT GUIDELINES

The primary placement for drop foot treatment. This is recommended when targeting a dorsiflexion response.

An alternative drop foot placement used. This is the suggested placement for a plantarflexion response and when calf atrophy is present.
